Laser Hair Removal

How does laser hair removal work?

Hair grows in different phases. Only hair follicles in the active growth phase can be treated effectively — which is why multiple sessions are required.

What happens during a laser pulse?

The laser emits light with a wavelength of 800 nm into the skin.
The dark pigment (melanin) in the hair absorbs this light.
The hair root heats up and becomes damaged.
As a result, the hair can no longer grow back.
Thanks to the Chilltip cooling system, the skin is immediately cooled, protecting the surrounding tissue.

After the treatment:

The body naturally removes the damaged follicle → the hair falls out.

Results of laser hair removal

Within days to weeks after treatment, the treated hairs fall out:

• Face: usually within 7 days
• Underarms and bikini line: after 10 to 14 days
• Legs: after 4 to 6 weeks

After each session:

✔ reduced hair growth
✔ finer and softer hair
✔ longer-lasting smooth skin

Many clients already experience noticeable comfort after the first session.

How many treatments are needed?

The number of sessions varies per person and treatment area.

On average:

Women
→ 5 to 8 sessions for 80–90% hair reduction

Men
→ 6 to 12 sessions for 70–80% hair reduction

Factors that influence results:

• hair growth cycle
• skin type
• hair color and thickness
• treatment area
• age and hormones

During the initial consultation, you will always receive a personalized treatment plan.

Preparation

✔ Shave the treatment area (see timing below)
✔ Stop waxing, epilating, or electric hair removal 6 weeks beforehand
✔ Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds (4–6 weeks before)
✔ No makeup, creams, or deodorant on the day of treatment
✔ Always inform us about medications and supplements

Shaving guidelines:

Underarms & bikini line: 1 day before
Arms, legs & torso: approx. 3 days before
Leave fine peach fuzz untouched
Do not shave the face (except trimming thicker hairs if needed)

During the treatment

You will feel short warm sensations — similar to small taps on the skin.
Each pulse lasts only milliseconds.

Afterwards, mild redness or small bumps may appear. This is normal and usually fades quickly.

After the treatment

✔ Apply a soothing cream
✔ Avoid sun exposure + use SPF 50
✔ No sauna or hot baths for the first 24 hours
✔ Shaving between sessions is allowed
✔ Do not scratch any small scabs
✔ Mild redness is normal and temporary

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Laser hair removal provides permanent hair reduction.
Most treated hairs do not grow back. Due to hormonal changes, some new hairs may appear over time — usually finer and lighter.

An annual maintenance session is recommended to maintain optimal results.
